Front Desk

Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-07-13.

Plain language, no surprises. This page describes Front Desk (frontdesk.ounie.com), an Ounie product. It is not legal advice.

What we collect

When you sign in we receive your email address and display name from our identity provider (signin.ounie.com). When you run a phone line we store what the product needs to show you outcomes: the line configuration (which brain you selected, your greeting, business hours, booking rules, transfer number), and for each call the caller number, duration, outcome, credits charged, the transcript, and — where recording is enabled — the recording. Bookings and messages captured on calls are stored so they can appear in your book and inbox.

Recordings and transcripts

Calls are recorded and transcribed so you can hear and read exactly what your receptionist said and what the caller asked. In all-party-consent states, a recording notice plays before any recording starts. Recording is your setting — you can turn it off per line, and for clinic lines it is forced off. Recordings and transcripts are visible only to the account that owns the line; deleting a line deletes its calls, recordings, and transcripts.

People who call your line

If an AI receptionist from this product answered your call: the business that owns the line controls the booking, message, and call data, and their AI always tells you it's an AI at the start of the call. Caller phone numbers are never made public and are never shared across accounts. To reach us directly, open a privacy ticket.

Your booking and message data is yours

Bookings, messages, and call logs captured on your line belong to you. We use them only to run your line and show you outcomes — we never sell them, share them with other customers, or use them to train models.

Health information

Front Desk is not for medical information. Clinic lines have recording forced off and the agent is instructed never to take medical details — anything clinical becomes a callback message. We are not a HIPAA business associate and do not accept PHI.

What we don't collect

There are no third-party analytics scripts, no advertising pixels, and no session replay on this site. We don't track anyone across the web.

Where data lives

Application data (lines, calls, bookings, messages, credit ledger entries) is stored in a Neon Postgres database hosted in the US; recordings are stored in private object storage. Your brain content itself stays on ounie.com — Front Desk reads it at call time through Ounie's API as you, and keeps only what was said on the call in the transcript.

Payments

Payments happen on ounie.com, where Stripe processes credit purchases. This product never sees your card number; it only reads and debits your Ounie credit wallet. Stripe's privacy policy lives at stripe.com/privacy.

Deletion

To delete your account or download your data, open a privacy ticket. We respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30.
